Tightrope walking...??

So I was thinking the other day (as you do) about random stuff and something reminded me of something I always wanted to do when I was younger but forgot about. It was like my biggest dream when I was really young but it slipped my mind once I turned about 7/8 and I've only just remembered about it! So... what was this big dream of mine?

To be a tightrope walker.

Yeah, I'm being serious!

When I was really young it was my number one dream to be a tightrope walker... and to be honest I still think it'd be an awesome thing to do! I'm not too sure why I always wanted to do that but I was obsessed with it... I remember this one time me and my mum went to a camping and outdoors show and they had this really strong tape there that you could attach to two things (furniture maybe? something a little off the ground!) and it was strong enough to hold someone's weight!

I remember thinking I need to get some of that because I had tried it in my bedroom a few times but it never worked (I mean I used wool tied from my bed to my draws closing the draw to secure it... Of course it wasn't going to work even if I was convinced it would work back then!!) and so with this tape I thought it could finally be a reality and I could train to be a tightrope walker! I really wanted to have a go but I was about 9 and everyone trying it out was at least 3/4 years younger than me so was too scared... I need to find that tape now and try it out...

I kept this dream of mine quiet though, it was like my little secret, my dream to be a tightrope walker... I've just talked to my parents about it and they didn't have a clue about it! I remember thinking I won't tell anyone yet but will later when I can do it... But that time never came. I guess my plan was probably something along the lines of running off to join the circus, literally!

But seriously, if someone offered me the chance to try it out now I'd definitely go for it! How cool would that be?! ....(I'm getting a little too excited about this idea now...)

So yeah basically I had that thought and it reminded me of this huge dream from when I was younger and I felt it was too good to not share with you all!! It's funny how things change... even though that dream didn't last too long I was certain it'd happen one day!
