St Michaels Mount | Cornwall

So we went to St Michael's Mount, a castle (on a mount) near/in Marazion... It was really cool because there was a path you can walk along at low tide across the sea!
Since two of my favourite genres of books are Fantasy and Historical Fiction, a lot of books I read involve manors, castles and mansions... so naturally whenever we go to these places I just imagine the entire plot within the place!
I read The Lady's Maid by Dilly Court (an AMAZING book, if you like historical fiction/romance you should definitely read it! One of my favourite authors...) the day before (well, reread, I've read it so many times!) and so all I could think whilst going around the Castle were scenes from that book! Even though it was a castle I pictured it being Damerell Manor so had a great time with that :D
The castle (and mount) from Marazion, the village right next to it.

This is the path half uncovered since it was halfway between low and high tide when we got there!

Ok so my mum spotted this and thought it looked like Cinderella on the castle steps..... turns out its just tarpaulin covering a chimney but I think Cinderella's a much nicer idea.

The Library of the Castle! (Always my favourite room)

Dining room....

Another awkward photo of me on the castle steps!

Chapel alter

And the living room I believe!

So yeah the entire time all that I could think about was Miss Josephine Damerell of Damerell Manor and Mr Harry Challenor of Copperstone Castle and all the weird stuff going on between them and Kate and Sam!! (The book is amazing, I can't recommend it enough, definitely one of my favourites of all time)
The castle was so pretty and I love that you can basically walk over the sea at low tide!
I think this is my last Cornwall post, so back to normal! (well, I don't think much on this blog is a normal blog but still...)
