October = Christmas??
So as it is now October, my view is that Christmas can begin! October until the end of February are the Christmas months in my mind and so Christmas books, films and music are now acceptable! Unfortunately not many other people seem to share this view....
I've spoke to a lot of people about this as research I guess and about 20 people said it's not right to play Christmas songs until December...?? One person said November but that's it! One month a year is all you get?
I mean anyone who knows me at all or has been reading this blog for a while (thank you!) will know that I get just a little excited about Christmas... and I am known to be reading Christmassy books, singing/listening to Christmassy songs and watching Christmassy movies in the middle of summer. (Is Christmassy a word? Oh well, it is now!)
But seriously, December? I love Christmas because I love the whole atmosphere and Christmas spirit and all that stuff, and I love it so much I allocate 5 months in our 12 month year to it. October 1st to February 28th (or 29th!) is CHRISTMAS. You might think I'm crazy for this (many people have already told me that) but why confine such an amazing time to one month? If you enjoy it, make the most of it! I certainly do :)
So as I'm getting ready for Christmas in October you lot with your one month a year nonsense can all be really boring. Already got my Christmas playlist set and ready to go!! (When the highlight of your day is finding the extended version to your favourite Christmas song, you know you need a life.)
I mean I will admit that I wouldn't put Christmas decorations up until mid-November, but I do have fairy lights up all year. Who doesn't love fairy lights?!?!!

P.S. My friend told me if I mentioned Christmas again I'd be demoted to just 'friend' from 'Special Fossil Sister Friend' (long story why we refer to each other as that!!) If you're reading this Pauline: does this count? I didn't mention it directly to you? :P
