My 'Things I Want To Do This Summer' Jar
So this year I decided to make a list of things I want to do, but just a list seemed way too boring to me, so this is what happened!
My 'Things I Want To Do This Summer' Jar:
I know it's really not hard but I'll tell/show you what I did to create it...
First I just made a list on my phone (using memos) of the things to go inside the jar. I found google and pinterest helped a lot when I was stuck for ideas! I managed to get a long list (but making sure I actually want to do these things and not just writing them down to get a longer list) of stuff to do to write down.
Next I just went to the 99p store and poundland (poundland was better for what I wanted, the 99p store I went in didn't sell coloured paper/card??) to get some coloured pens and coloured paper to make it a bit more interesting.
So as you can see I achieved that for £2! The pens I got were from the 99p store but I would suggest poundland because the 99p store didn't have coloured paper and poundland also has pens similar to these, so to save time I'd suggest that!
This is the paper inside the paper pack, lots of different colours, shapes and sizes! There were also squares and triangles, and although I thought I'd only use these rectangles I ended up using the squares because there were some very nice colours :)
The papers were all also different thickness's in the pack I bought, and although some really thin ones were a problem because they kept tearing I found this useful too to make it more interesting and colourful and unique. (The purple in the photo below was really thin, I had to write that one out at least 12 times. I decided if that attempt didn't work I'd give up!!)
Then I basically used the pens to write the things from the list onto the paper... Just in case it wasn't clear what I was going to use everything for!
Here are some of the papers to go in the jar:
(Yes, learn to skateboard is on my list. I'll explain that some other time maybe.)
I had about 30 of these and just folded them up and stuck them into the jar.
I tried to make it as interesting as possible with very bad drawings and attempts at different fonts too... yeah that could have gone better.
I really like how it turned out and definitely prefer this to a plain list wrote out and stuck on a wall (my original plan) because I can easily take things away, add more in, put paper back in if its something I can do more than once, etc. Already after spending way too long finding those photos in my documents I've decided to add 'Sort files on laptop' to the jar. I'd forgotten how messy it was.
