Our Christmas Traditions

So as it's CHRISTMAS EVE TOMORROW (How crazy is that?!?!!!) I was thinking about what we do as a family every Christmas... So I thought I'd tell you guys!!

When we were younger on the Saturday before Christmas we always went to sleep at my nan's, my parents would have some fancy Christmas party to go to!! Every year she took us out to walk the dogs just after it turned dark to see all the Christmas lights!! Due to my.. slight... obsession with fairy lights I loved it!!! We haven't been able to do it for a couple of years, but Christmas lights are still one of my favourite things about Christmas!! I just love the lights lighting up the streets and everywhere you turn there's more fairy lights... okay getting distracted...

Christmas Eve is quite a big day for us as a family, although now our traditions are slightly different because we're older!!

When me and my brother were younger we used to go to the big indoor play area with my cousins every year on Christmas Eve, it was awesome!! It became a tradition as we did it EVERY year, but now we're 'too old' to go :(

My church has a Christingle service every year on Christmas Eve too, and we go every year. I normally read or something but it's a really pretty service!! I love all the lights from the Christingles and the carols are beautiful too :) :) :)

Lately we've been going to the pub on Christmas Eve in the afternoon (after the Christingle service) (instead of the play area!!) which is great fun!! We normally meet up with my grandparents, my auntie, uncle and cousins, we always have a great time!! Normally we all have a game of pool... although I don't think I've ever managed to win!!

Yayy can't wait for all that tomorrow!!

Christmas day is kind of a typical Christmas day I guess... we get up as early as possible and open presents, eat chocolate, skip breakfast, eat chocolate, eat dinner (at lunchtime of course), eat more chocolate, eat even more chocolate and then the day is over!! (The chocolate's the best bit :P)

Although this year we're trying something new, we're all going to my grandparents for Christmas dinner!! It means I'll be able to see EVERYONE on Christmas day (YAYY) so CAN'T WAIT!!

It's really interesting to think what every family does on Christmas day, making it unique to their family... do you have any Christmas Traditions?? let me know on twitter @keelymorrison64 :)
