Boys and Girls shirts?!??!!!

Right, so first of all sorry about not blogging in AGES, these few weeks have been crazy!!

So I found out something really weird recently....

Did you know that on boys and girls shirts the buttons are on different sides?!?!!

I didn't... But seriously its true!! Girls buttons are on the left and boys are on the right!! (I think that's the right way round.... If not then the other way to what I said!!)

Apparently its because men used to do up their own shirts, but women who could afford buttoned clothes normally had servants to do them up for them, so they were on the other side to make it easier for the servants... So we've learnt to button them back to front!!

I found out when I accidentally put on my brother's shirt... and couldn't work out why it seemed different to normal!! I've never really thought about it, but now that I do I guess the buttons are on a weird side on girls shirts... but it's even weirder to do them up the other way round!!

Since I made this life changing discovery I thought I'd share it with you guys!!
